oh dear,

I've no excuse except that I've fallen out of love with this blog. My heart wasn't in posting here, so I sort of let it alone. Kinda like what happens to that fish you just forget is in it's bowl on the counter. (not that i've ever killed a fish that way...poor fish)

So, in my defense, I have been keeping up on updating my facebook page. And I started liking twitter. You can find me alive and well over there.

I have been working on moving to a new & improved blog. When that pops up, you'll be the first to know. (not that I still have any readers here!)

many thanks,

session preview ~ liz

I had trouble deciding which image to include in this session preview. Since it's my blog, I picked both. :) These are from a session I did with my friend Liz. We had fun - more to come soon!

family session ~ the caldwells

For the most part, my early clients have been people I know. But there have been a few new faces. Here is a session I did with a new family. We went to the zoo - the weather was going in and out, but we managed to get some great shots before the girls staged a mutiny. And don't they have the most beautiful eyes?

Thanks so much!

family session ~ amy & co.

Here's a bit of my latest family session - I think they all looked really sharp in their coordinating outfits. We went to the local rose garden and even though it's not in bloom, I was happy with the feel of the portraits. Sunshine, happiness, laughter - that's what a family should remember of each other. Thanks for allowing me to capture the day!

engagement session ~ cara & david

I have been blessed recently to have lots of great clients. Here's a session I did for a couple that is getting married this summer. There was lots of laughing going on.

While walking around downtown, we found a brick wall with blue doors. One of the doors was marked with an '11' which was perfect because they are getting married July 11. I love it when things like that happen!

family session ~ cooper

This guy has it. Stylish, trendy hairstyle...piercing blue sense...pretty much a great catch. Just wait til he can talk - I'm guessing he'll be a real charmer.

Ladies, meet Cooper.

This was a fun session for me. Cooper's mom is an old friend, like since 3rd grade old. I'm am enjoying this new stage of life watching my kids grow and seeing my friends start families. Hopefully, in about 18 years, I'll be taking senior pictures for this guy. How awesome would that be? Let's just hope he can get that drooling problem taken care of by then!

Thank you, April & Dan, for allowing me to take portraits of your little guy!

session preview ~ cara & david

Thank goodness I have photography as a way to have fun and relax!

Seriously. This has been a very busy week for me, both personally and with my photography work. And now...the kids are sick, we are attempting a surgical strike on the backyard gardening tomorrow and my husband insists on finishing Battlestar Galactica Season 4.0 in the next 7 days. Very soon, I'll post my sessions with Cooper and this fun couple...
